The One Place Where Smelly Feet is Not a Laughing Matter

Activated Charcoal for Smelly Feet
by Dr. Roseline Hamsley

For our purposes activated carbon can be regarded as one of the very best odor absorption agents available to foot odor sufferers. As explained earlier, there is virtually no other material in the world with as much surface area per gram which makes it absolutely perfect for us. The only problem with activated charcoal, it is primarily carbon which if used by itself, it will turn almost everything it touches a shade of grey and black. Instead activated charcoal has to be packaged into items such as shoe soles, lining or even some socks for it to be effective without tainting everything it touches.

One should however understand that activated charcoal and all its associated products only serve as a remedy to the smelly feet problem very superficially, all it does is remove the odors caused by the bacteria. Once you remove your feet from your shoes, the odor will come back as the activated charcoal is no longer there to remove the odors.

If you do suffer from smelly feet you should consider a more comprehensive approach to deal with this problem, you should consider removing the bacteria or even the level of sweating so that the solution is more holistic. Activated Charcoal is only a stop gap measure and isn’t the best solution for a long term relief.
