Allspice - The Cure to Smelly Feet? by Dr. Roseline Hamsley
Additionally, especially in its powder form, allspice has a strong aroma that is very overpowering which is quite effective in overpowering the musty smells of foot odor with the added advantage of giving your feet that perfume like smell too.
There are many preparations of allspice, from colognes to just the bare dried fruit. The best solution for smelly feet is to use either the cologne or the perfume on your feet. This is because these preparations contain alcohol with in itself is a strong anti-bacterial preparation and can, to a certain degree clean your feet too. Do however make sure that the cologne is actually made from real allspice and not just essence of it as this would most probably not have the anti-perspirant qualities that allspice would in it original form.
Alternatively, the other solution is to obtain some allspice powder or even better get the actual dried fruit itself then grind it up into a powder form (to keep its aroma) and dust the powder in your socks before you actually wear your shoes. What this does is that the allspice anti-perspirant qualities will be exposed to all your feet and when your feet actually start sweating, the powder form can absorb some of the moisture and sweat.
Allspice has always been an effective measure to counter the problem of smelly feet however it has to be used properly and in the right preparation type for it to be truly effective. Always go for the real Allspice rather than the essence of Allspice.
