While looking at the cleanliness levels of the stockings it pays to also look at the cleanliness levels of your own feet. If you do suffer from smelly feet you must wash your feet every time you change your stockings. This is to ensure that any substances and bacteria that have already developed at the feet are washed away and not transferred to the new pair of stockings. When washing your feet ensure that you always use warm water. Warm water opens up the pores so that you can get a deeper and cleaner wash.

Although not totally necessary, sometimes it pays to also change your stockings often by buying new ones regularly. This ensures that any bacteria that may not be 100% washed of isn’t kept and re-applied to the feet over and over again. Buying new stockings ensures that your feet get as little exposure to bacteria as possible.

As a last point, before wearing stockings, people with acute foot odors should also consider the use of anti-perspirants on their feet before they wear their stockings.
